An Irish Blessing

Today was my last full day in Provo, Utah for a little while. Or, as a good friend said, it's my last full day away from home for a little while. I am super stoked to go home and see my fam, but goodbyes are a bit difficult. They inevitably make me think about a song that we sang at the end of every year in choir...and everyone knows that music magnifies emotion.

Watch it here. Pardon the very choral arrangement...this was the only version i could find that was exactly like the version i sang. (P.S. their first language is German...don't they sing English amazingly?)

****Quote of the Day****
May the road rise to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
The rain fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again, until we meet again
May God hold you in the palm
of His hand.

I love all of the amazing people with whom I have crossed paths this semester. I am so grateful for the examples that y'all are to me, and the amazing individual you are helping me to become just by being you. I wish you luck in all of your upcoming endeavors. Remember who you are. Make good choices. Drive Safely. Return with Honor. Don't Take any Wooden Nickels. God Be With You 'Till We Meet Again.

Sorry to be a bit of a Debbie Downer...on a lighter note, here are my words of the day

Anywho, I should prolly either sleep, study for my last final, or finish taming the wild disaster area that is my room half-packed. Goodnight to all!

Happy Sunday! Last Sunday of the Semester and My Freshman Year! =D

I'm pretty sure I pressed the snooze button like six times this morning. When I finally rolled out of bed, it was seven thirty and I still had ample time to prep myself for the Sabbath.   Jessie and I bounced down the hall around 8:10 to make our way to the lobby to practice the song we performed in Sacrament Meeting today. We had all decided that we were just going to jump into practicing without warming up, and as the sleep left our voices and our eyes, our singing improved. We scampered up to the JKB to rehearse some more (we were half an hour early to Sacrament Meeting).

I would like to make a quick note: In German, all of the nouns are capitalized...and since i don't know English that well...i feel the need to capitalize all of my nouns.

Anywho, from there it was essentially a typical Sunday. Our performance went well. Though we still seemed to run out of breath in all of the usual places, and though a few of the dissonant notes sounded a bit more dissonance-y than they should have, it went well, and i feel like we were able to convey the spirit of the words. =D

We dashed to the Cannon Center in record time to tame the chorus of grumbly tummies.  Then we waltzed home...full, fat, and sassy. Jessie and I decided that the best course of action would be to take a nap. We started off in separate locations, but Jessie has a tendency to toss, turn, and thrash...little did i know that this tendency translates over into her waking moments. She rolled off of her bed and onto mine and we squished onto my bed for one of the most chill naps i've had in a while.

I woke up to a Kelsey-Monster knocking on the door. I then proceeded to elbow Jessie to get her to open the door. We both sluggishly moved towards alertness and
bounced to the Cannon for dinner.

The Last Visiting Hours = Jam session!!!!
Hello! I can't really think of a better way to spend the last visiting hours of my freshman year.
