Father Son Camp-outs = Mother Daughter Nights Out

Wonderful bliss! I just sent off my father and brothers to go spend the weekend camping on a lake. It's always been a tradition in my family that whenever there is a Father Son Camp-out, my mom and I spend the night on the town, so to speak. So Hoorah! for quality time with me mumsy...Unfortunately, she doesn't get home until around seven o'clock. So what to do between now and then?

I could do those chores my dad asked me to do before he left, or i could write a scholarship essay or two. OR I could watch a few movies (which, heaven knows, i haven't done often enough in the past two weeks ;) ). OR i could steal my younger brother's guitar and try to teach myself how to play. OR I could take Oopsie on yet another walk. OR I could make cheesecake cupcakes (I think we have all of the ingredients). OR I could start packing for the move to North Dakota.

I don't know...those cheesecake cupcakes sound super tempting...and i've got time for all that other stuff, and I could read a book while I wait for them to bake. I feel like it's really a win-win situation.

Bliss!

  1. Hahahaha I love father-son campouts!! Mostly the mother-daughter part about it. Also, I think it's pretty weird that y'all's father-son campout was the same weekend as ours. Unless it's like church-wide...then it's not very coincidental.
